In the last several weeks we have seen a wave of global recognition for Gogoro’s approach in transforming how cities and consumers use energy in a more efficient and sustainable way. Today, we are honored to be recognized as one of the 2016 Sustainia100.
Over the past few months, the team at Sustainia has been researching and vetting more than 1,200 sustainable solution candidates. From innovative waste solutions, community health programs and trailblazing technologies, Sustainia looks at new mindsets and innovative thinking that aim to deliver good health, clean energy, improved infrastructure, and sustainable urban development. The 2016 Sustainia100 edition contains 100 solutions from all over the world that provide social, financial and environmental returns, whilst also addressing the Sustainable Development Goals.
This is the fifth year of the Sustainia100 and more people than ever before are acting on sustainability, thanks to the leadership behind the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. At the end of 2015, 195 countries adopted the first-ever universal, legally binding global climate deal. The Sustainia100 reveals where in the world people are acting on sustainability as global markets become primed for investment and innovation.
